Note: you have to have access to the ftp server. Intego X6 blocks iTunes and downloads, despite having ContentBarrier disabled for my account so I could have, in theory, full internet access. I downloaded Intego today, installed it, let it reboot, update, etc and all of my problems came back. I completely erased and rebuilt my MBP this weekend and put everything but Intego on it and for 2 days had NO problems at all. The main aim of the site is to provide monitoring service. To activate the service, I just had to provide an email address, upload a simple file (uptime.txt) into my site which returns the keyword " success" and Uptime will let me know when my site goes down. My personal website has been using this free service for more than a year now and so far, I’m very happy with the provided service. One which I can recommend is Uptime – a server uptime monitoring service provided by OpenACS and hosted by Alternative Linux Architecture Labs.
